A favorite sweet treat spot on a warm night on the square! The service is fast and friendly, the ice cream is delicious, and the prices are great. Can't ask for much more from an ice cream shop. The decor is very 19050's America, which is always fun. I always choose whatever the most chocolatey ice cream is and am never disappointed. Most recently I got a chocolate ice cream with Oreos and fudge- SO GOOD!
Was I pleasantly surprised! I thought it was going to be a basic blue bell ice cream and sundae joint but I was definitely wrong! They have lots of custom flavors and the flavors I got were phenomenal. So so tasty! And the staff was so so patient and warm/welcoming- helping me with recommendations and letting me sample to my hearts content till I found the one. They do not skimp on the scoops either!
I had heard wonderful things about Beth Marie's from a few friends, and when my husband and I were in Denton recently - the delicious smells floating into the Square reminded me that I wanted to try this old-timey Soda Shoppe. It is absolutely adorable inside! The decor transports one back to a simpler time. And they have a wide variety of treats to choose from - including things like "egg creams" from the good old days. We opted to split a hot fudge sundae since we had just had dinner, and the hot fudge was AMAZING! The staff was attentive and patient with folks who could not decide, and you can tell that they take pride in their dessert masterpieces. The store was very clean and well-maintained. Highly recommend for a taste of nostalgia - you are sure to leave with a happy belly and a smile on your face.
